When you think "muse" you think inspiration. Muse-ic is inspiration.
This blog is my platform to share the muse-ic that inspires me, wows me, motivates me, calms me, and pretty much makes me feel any kind of (mostly positive) emotion. I hardly listen to the radio anymore because, despite the fact that, yes, there are great artists that get airplay, great muse-ic doesn't get airplay or enough airplay.
I love listening to all types of muse-ic, including what's on the radio, but it doesn't do for me what this "unheard" muse-ic does to my soul.
I'm a journalist and poet with a deep love of the language of music. I listen to everything from conscious reggae to classic rock and everything in between. I have a particular penchant for music with lyrics not in my language - I guess you could call it world music. The fact that I can't understand lets me create my own meaning and my own feeling but also lets me really hear and appreciate the music even more.
The music here has helped me grow, carried me to and through certain points in my life, and has helped me to become more open and inspired.
I hope that as you explore this blog you find some songs that move you and moves you to tell others.
They say that you learn a lot about people when you listen to the songs that mean something to them. I hope that as you find your way around this blog, different parts of you are awakened and that a space is filled within you and between us.
