Kathleen Edwards' "Change the Sheets" reminds me of one of those songs you put on when you're going for a long drive. Something has changed in your life: a break up, a lost job, the end of a friendship, the end of an old way of thinking or an old habit; a new chapter. At this time all you want to do is, like Kathleen says, run run run run run. But instead you drive and drive, just you, the moonlight & your shed skin behind you; a closed chapter behind as you come to terms with how to move forward. It's one of those tracks that tells of a change of scenery in your life. A change that will do you good. And sadly, this is another track you'll probably never hear on the airwaves.
"Here is the truth, I swear it used to be fun. Go ahead run run run run…"

The perfect summer song
We're in December and it's a long way to summer, I know. But where have I been that I haven't heard of this Washed Out dude before? But I'm glad I was made aware of him recently :) Check out his other songs. Very lazy-summer-dayish.

Down on Life but with an upbeat vibe
The words tell of trouble but the beat to this song is so dope you can't help but move and sing along. To me it's one of those nice earworms. Elliphant is dope. I love her style, her sound, her accent and I love that reggae vibe of this track. Can't wait to see more of her work.
